How JumpStart Works

The Leeton JumpStart Fund is made up of 60 members who give their time freely to raise funds to assist local residents affected by sickness, accident, tragedy or death. Since it’s inception in 2003 the fund has raised over $400,000 and provided a variety of assistance to 400 local residents and families in crisis or need.

The committee has assisted clients with accommodation, petrol money, travel, medical expenses, equipment and food. There is no obligation on the client to pay back any assistance given. The assistance given is a gift from the community with no strings attached.

JumpStart has a wonderful group of community members who have the difficult task of being on the very important assessment committee. These people each bring with them expertise in a wide variety of areas. All are quiet achievers and must remain anonymous.
