It could only happen in Leeton

JumpStart Fund is renowned for being one of a kind.

It’s positive, forward thinking and proactive nature is what has seen this organisation help local residents on a daily basis with accommodation, petrol, medical expenses, equipment and food.

Over the years the committee has organised a huge variety of fundraising events and activities and raised over $400,000.

Two years ago the committee decided to put on their hard hats and start work on a huge project.

This latest fundraising project ‘The House That JumpStart Built’ soon became one in which the whole community sunk its teeth into.

The aim of ‘The House That JumpStart Built’ was to have a complete house and land package.

The house is now complete and a large number of local residents have taken the opportunity to attend the open-house inspections held over the last 3 weekends.

The grand finale will be the sale by auction next Saturday 10 March.

The Leeton JumpStart Committee, local tradespeople and suppliers, have spent the past two years tirelessly working on the project and are ecstatic with the result.

The house, located in Leeton’s sought-after housing subdivision – Moreton Bay Drive - is a modern, 4 bedroom home, featuring open plan living areas, home theatre room and a glamorous kitchen with Roxx stone bench tops. A stunning covered outdoor entertainment area with kitchen, built-in BBQ and and landscaped gardens, completes this entertainer’s delight.

Local tradespeople and local, regional and national businesses have given their support through in-kind product donations, voluntary labour hours and sponsorship.

"We’re so pleased that the house is now complete,” JumpStart Chairman, John Gavel said. “We’ve had such incredible support from the community and we’ve been proud to finally open the doors and show what we’ve created."
